Who’s That Guy-Gar

damndest Whos That Guy Gar

Good Monday morning!! Special cameo by Webcomic Guru Brad Guigar – hence today’s title.

Scenario 1:
Okay, so it’s Monday, you check your email and you see Rick the Stick there waiting for you patiently and you click on the email expecting your daily dose of mediocrity goodness. And BLAM! There it is! Your comic piping hot, you can still smell the freshly made pixels and you chuckle, smirk and perhaps give a little lol.

Scenario 2:
Okay, so it’s Monday, and you log onto your computer and wisely use company time to check out your favorite websites. Ideally, Rick the Stick is towards the top of your list (because you’re not real choosy about what you read). You click the link and BLAM! There it is! Your monitor has rendered a perfect facsimile of the comic strip that I posted for your viewing pleasure and maybe you giggle, make that “hmmpph” sound of approval or bang your head on your filing cabinet as you’re rofl.

Either way – what then? What do you do after that? Hit the delete key/ click away to the next site? GASP! The horror!

Well starting today (actually, for a while now), you can scroll on down past the hilarity that is below the comic and leave a comment! Why did I say starting today if you could have been doing that for a while now, like Todd or Trisha have been? Well starting today – those comments count. That’s right – they count. From today through May 15th, I am going to track all the comments. Anyone who leaves a legitimate* comment will get a point and the person with the most points on May 15th (that’s Cinco e cinco e cinco de Mayo – sorry for my poor Español) wins a tee shirt from the Rick the Stick storeº. Any t-shirt. And I include shipping.

Okay, so now you’re thinking either one of the following:

  • What shirts? Click here.
  • I don’t want to comment every day. So don’t!
  • What if I fall behind? Easy – you can still comment on older comics or if you have more to say on one particular comic feel free!
  • I have a burning sensation when I read the strip – oh and also when I pee… See a doctor, and tell him you read the strip. As a matter of fact – tell everyone you read the strip!
  • I don’t even know why I read the strip, why on earth would I comment? Because if you’re not happy with the strip – I would appreciate your feedback! It takes a village to raise a strip out of mediocrity friends.
  • What if I just took some medicine and I’m sleepy and I’m just about to get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle? Wow – these are getting harder. Um, I would say BEFORE you get behind the wheel, click the link that takes you back to the very first Rick the Stick. By the time you get through reading the entire archive of 285 comics, you’ll either have worn off the medicine or fallen asleep by comic #13 or so. Either way, the world is a safer place and my page views have gone up at least by 13.

Special thanks to Nikki over at BitterTea Studios for making Rick the Stick her first ‘Webcomic Pick of the Week’!

Show your support by subscribing for the strip in your email box!! Get on it! CLICK HERE NOW and fill in your email address – SPAM FREE!!! And thank you!

Have a great week everyone – and remember to comment!

what’s the design on the shirt, the dudes comic or something?

  3. RAlonzo

Evil Ink is RAD! But not nearly as mediocre as Rick. RICK the Stick RULZ I’m gonna start spray painting that all over SOG City

You did a good job making Brad Guigar look like Brad Guigar in your comics style. Can I be in the comic. I could help Winchester protect rick. Or I could be this Awesome graphic designer, much like the real me.

I’ve never seen so many comments, guess you should do a contest on the polls next time as well. :) Sure am missing Rick’s mohwak, I have to squint each time I open my email to protect my eyes from the glare of his head. Definitely looking forward to where the whole “Who wanted Rick’s DNA” and the murder of his parents are going to tie together. Keep up the good work Ken, looks like mediocrity is getting spread a little more each day.

    Thanks Rob!
    HYM – I dunno, I didn’t ask him.
RAlonzo – you couldn’t be in the strip, you’d take up too much of the panel! ;-)
    Thanks Todd!
