Good morning!
What’s up? Today is Friday for me since I took the rest of the week off to hang with the bambino a little bit. Good times.
I came across this little clip yesterday when a friend – let’s just call him “RAlonzo” sent me a link about some guy who hated American Airlines site design and redesigned a mockup for it. It was a good piece of critique but I thought the guy who actually works for AA’s reply was better. Regardless, these are the videos that hit the nail on the head when it comes to creativity for a lot of people. It also helped reinforce my drive to drag Rick the Stick out of mediocrity and into goodness. It may take 50 years, but I’m going to try!!
It’s from Ira Glass from ‘This American Life’ on NPR. Yes NPR and his show is very good. He does a great critique of his own work – after he’d been in the business for 8 years!!!
The second video talks about the importance of being different and not just cranking out more of the same, it’s shorter and worth the watch.
Ken

Well all my systems are loading up to RTS this morning, and I’ll have to say (correct me if I’m wrong) but isn’t panel 3 the first time we’ve seen Rick’s lips. Love the disquise Rick, if it weren’t for Milton I almost thought I was reading “Pasties the Stick”
