Sabotage

Wow – what a day. Other than this awesome comic, a great blog post and hilarious postscript, well that’s all there is – what more would you want. Oh you want more? Read on:

I seem to have located a tumor the size of a grape at the back of my skull – at least it feels like a tumor, could be a tumor, might be a tumor, don’t know why I think it’s a tumor…it hurts. Anywho, I’ve been a sketch-aholic this week. I’ve gotten eight done in three days – during my lunch break and at the doctor’s office. WOOHOO! That is a great relief. Especially since this tumor feels like it’s growing by the second.

I’ve been trying different types of backgrounds in the strips. I’ve had generic grayscale blocks and I’ve tried line drawings. Judging by all the feedback I’ve gotten, I’ve come to one giant conclusion – no one reads the strip – well, at the very least, no one looks at the drawings. It’s true – I mention that I’ve been playing around with the backgrounds and the first thing people say is “you draw?”. From now on, I’ll just show people the bump on the back of my head and play the sympathy card and tell them I’m mildly retarded. You know

I realize that I’ve used tumors and now mild retardation in my post today – if anyone actually reads this far down they might be slightly offended – or mildly retarded. If I do have a tumor, you can see the karma train bearing down on me…

Rick the Stick is committed to minimizing his carbon footprint and would encourage people to STOP printing out his comic and sending it back to him with big magic marker written all over it saying: “THIS COMIC SUCKS”. Rick is aware of the problem and is trying to fix it by finding a less intelligent audience. Please bear with us in the interim. Won’t you help us find intellectually-challenged people by getting your friends (and family?) to sign-up to have Rick The Stick emailed to them every weekday? Save the earth and make someone happy – you’re a good person, you know that?
