Good morning!
I’m excited for the next two week’s comics. The story is shifting a little bit and we’re getting a taste of what’s to come. I really feel like once everything comes to light – I’ll be able to turn around storylines quicker making the strip a little more fun for new readers.
That being said – I spent some time this weekend tweaking the site. There is a clue as to what is coming up when you visit the site – in the header area – when you load the page, you have to pay attention because you have less than a second to see it…if you can…bwahahahahahahahahaha!
Ken

I’ve hunted for the clue, and all I see is “Rick ‘da Stick”, and the many faces of “Rick ‘da Stick”. I sure do enjoy “Rick ‘da Stick”, and now with the storyline taking a new turn it’s an exciting time to be reading “Rick ‘da Stick”. Wonder how many points that was? Have a great week everyone.
Wikipedia does not like “Rick the Stick”. I’m going to post my email address here tcmcelmurry@gmail.com (Ken you have my other, this is the best for the other readers to post to, less filtering). So here’s the situation, I wanted to get mediocirty out to the masses a little more and decided to add “Rick the Stick” to wikipedia. As soon as I added the basic information and posted it my wiki article was instantley deleted. Here’s their explanation for the deletion.
“An article about a real person, an organization (e.g. band, club, company, etc., except schools), or web content that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant. This is distinct from verifiability and reliability of sources, and is a lower standard than notability. This criterion applies only to articles about web content and to articles about people and organizations themselves, not to articles about their books, albums, software and so on. The criterion does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source. If the claim’s credibility is unclear, you can improve the article yourself, propose deletion, or list the article at articles for deletion.”
Has anyone posted regularly to Wikipedia? Can anyone give me some pointers on how to best post information on Rick? Information submitted was a brief history of when the web comic started and the text from http://rickthestick.com/new-readers/ “Strip overview”.
Other comic strips have been slamming wikipedia lately for incorrect facts, guess they read the words “Comic Strip” and decided to strike back.
Wow Todd – THAT’S AWESOME! I appreciate the effort!! I’m going to ask around – while I’m trying to appear to be humble about this, it would be REALLY freaking cool to be on Wikipedia!!
