Web Comic #496

Good morning!
It’s the week of Rick the Stick #500!!! WOOOHOOO!
My better half mentioned that I should be a little more positive about the comic in the blog posts and on Facebook. She doesn’t follow me on twitter so I’m sure she would mean there too. Having made it to 500 strips I think it’s a good benchmark that we are heading into year three on all cylinders!
That being said, I changed the look of the second panel in today’s comic – after 12 because I wasn’t happy with the way it came out. It’s better now. Hopefully you like it. I mean, YOU’RE GONNA LOVE IT!! As of now, you probably noticed what the theme is leading up to Friday and as the week goes on, I’ll explain why I used this – because this week’s strips is also a metaphor…
Now that you’ve read all that – hit the comment section or it’s gonna be ugly in here!
Thanks for dropping by!
Ken

Yeah, I don’t foresee this ending well. Glad to see the “Studs Eat Spuds” logo back, makes an awesome backdrop. I love the way Rick’s taking it all easy in the 3rd Panel, with his allure of confidence and his will-fullness to dis-law the laws of physics and through caution into the wind and let the others worry about gravity. Rick, be sure to sign the wall after you smack into it all Earnhart style….is it still too soon to make Earnhart wall smack references.
I like the O2 helmet, way to promote Oxygen and look cool at the same time. Home that thing has O2 in it, cause you might need some while waiting for the Ambulance to arrive.
Thanks Todd – the helmet is actually Zero Squared.
Only a few more to Mr. (or Mrs. if you must) 500. I think Rick should just cut through the middle of the track. They always say that the shortest distance between two points is through the median.
Haha – I like it! Thanks David – Rick certainly has delusions of grandeur!
I would think stick bodies make you more aerodynamic….. FIXED!
Good point Dawn – although while he’s flying around the track, I’m not sure what kind of support the safety belt system would give him. Maybe he’ll glue himself to the seat so he doesn’t slide around…
