Good morning!
Okay, so I have a confession to make. Or maybe bragging. I think this goes under bragging, but I would prefer to call it sharing. I’m going to share something with you.
My great-grandfather was a writer. There. I said it and man, that feels soooo good. WHEW!
What? You’re not impressed? Okay, I’ll give you more. You want his name? I’ll give you his name: John Grant. That’s right – THE John Grant.
Wait – what? Doesn’t ring a bell? Okay, okay – you got me. He wrote for some famous people – actually, a famous pair of comedians…nothing? Their names? Sheeesh, you guys need me to spell it out… Those comedians went by the names ‘Abbott and Costello‘.
Ring any bells now? NO??? You’re kidding right? I mean he only wrote on one of the most historic skits ever performed. That’s right – he wrote on ‘Who’s on First’. Of course up until 5 minutes ago I always thought he WROTE the whole damn thing, but that’s what Wikipedia’s for – right? My grandmother always told me her father wrote that skit. And I believed her. You know what? I still believe her – I’m taking credit for being the great-grandson of the writer who wrote ‘Who’s on First’!!
Of course, I should stop right there, because it’s pretty obvious, the talent in our family tree stopped right there. My great-grandfather never settled for mediocrity. I mean mediocrity doesn’t come up with ‘Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstien‘ or ‘Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man‘ or ‘Abbott and Costello Meet The Killer Boris Karloff‘ or ‘Abbott and Costello in the Foreign Legion‘ or… you get the point.
I’m actually proud of my great grandfather despite never meeting him and discovering during the same Wikipedia search that he died in 1955 almost 11 years to the day before I was born. So there it is. Confessing, bragging, sharing.
So now it’s your turn. Confess to someone you know that you enjoy this comic strip. Brag to someone else that you read a webcomic. Finally, share the link and spread the love that is…’Rick the Stick meets a Caveman’ or ‘Rick the Stick meets a banker who gives him 150 million dollars’ or ‘Rick the Stick meets the Cartoon Mob Syndicate’ – you get the point…
Have a great humpday and thank you for reading this drivel!!
Ken

That’s so awesome about your great-grandfather. What a cool family history to have.
HEy that snot sharing you told me that already when we were at lunch no fair. Any whoo you know what I think. When GOD dropped Mana from heaven for his people (you know the Israelites) bet you he deep fried it. Deep frying is from heaven much like Mana and mediocrity. So if deep frying is from heaven and Mana is from heaven could it be that RTS is from heaven. Okay far stretch but hey bet you if you told ST. Peter you read RTS he’d let you in. UH HUH
Maybe Gods on 1st
Who?
So Who’s on first base then?
