The Damndest Damn Blog

Okay, so yesterday’s comic may have not been so clear – at least as clear as I’d planned…so I’m hoping today’s clears it up a little bit.

BTW – Before I get into this, I am extremely critical of my art – and I think I have a long, long way to go. That being said I am personally happy with the way Rick’s character design has progressed as I noted a couple of weeks ago. Thus, I’m working on tweaking Milton. One of my biggest weaknesses is arms and hands. That’s the reason Milton and a most of the other characters have the same hands as Rick. So that’s my focus when I’ve been doodling and will continue to be until I nail it. I think I’m off to a good start with the following tweak:

Rick the Stick's - Milton Manner character tweak

Milton 2.0 – I like his hands, they look a little big, but they remind me of yours! Second, on Miltons short, the crotch looks funny (how it goes in a V) I would leave that off. Just a thought. Other than that he looks good (even thought he’s noseless) :)

Milton 2.0 rocks. Your work is definitely improving each time. The panels have more depth, and now with the possible introduction of Milton 2.0 the characters are getting more dimension. Keep rockin’ on, looking great.

Thanks guys – Trisha – funny, the crotch thing is something I’ve gotten a few comments about so that will be fixed. I’m using larger hands because they are more “tooney” and it’s easier to draw.
