Rick The Stick – a comic on the Interwebs

You know, I normally don’t do this. I don’t usually think the Damdest Damn Blog is the forum to espouse my particular thoughts on some things, well because, sometimes everyone has an opinion and at times debate can get pretty heated and people forget the larger picture. Okay I do all the time, but today is different…

I’m talking about something big that happened last week. REALLY BIG. The reality is that I think it moved the country down a path I am proud to be a part of – and have been waiting for since I was a child. I’m talking about inclusion into one of the prestigious club’s in all our land and something that we never thought would happen in our lifetimes. I’m talking about turning the page, creating a new chapter and recognizing that which has long been overlooked. Something valued, not treasured…until now…

Last week, the Strong National Museum inducted the STICK into the National Toy Hall of Fame. That’s right a stick. And who loves sticks more than RICK THE STICK? I think you see where I’m going. I think Rick The Stick’s image needs to be included in the display for the Stick. Rick the Stick NEEDS to be represented along side his kindling brethren (and no I did not mean kindred).

I encourage you to write to the Strong National Museum to show your support for including Rick The Stick into the Stick display.
