Good morning and happy humpday!
The good news is, I am three weeks ahead on sketches for the strip and could be up four by the end of the week. The bad news is I just finished inking Friday’s strip last night so I’m not getting entirely ahead with a buffer. What good is a buffer? A buffer will allow me to get a little more creative with the strips since I’m not trying to get everything hammered out so I can get to bed at a decent hour.
Just to give you an idea, I usually spend my lunch break sketching, at least two hours a night doing a strip and the post and then about 15 hours over the weekend – that’s 30 hours a week right there. I probably spend another 5-10 hours a week posting to twitter, facebook and doing research. Trust me – that’s not a complaint. I love, love, love doing this and I really want to make it work. But work is the operative word.
That being said, I am really happy with the growth artistically with the strip and I figure I’m about a 10th of the way to where I want it to be. Keep up the comments – it really helps keep me extra motivated.
Work yourself into a frenzy every weekday morning! It’s true – see how fast you can find the delete key when you see the Rick the Stick email barreling into your inbox at 5am. I can’t think of a better way to get the day started. Well I can, but let’s leave buttermilk pancakes in my pants out of this. Get on it! CLICK HERE NOW and fill in your email address – SPAM FREE!!! And thank you!

You should give Rick a hair change sequence like Joe Dirt
Gotta love the 4 toed Winchester. I enjoyed seeing Rick fall apart again, been a while since that gag had been used. The plot continues to thicken, the story arc is definitely to a degree now that people just joining really need to go back to the archives and start reading from the beginning so you can experience a bit of when Rick got his inheritance and especially get to see his mind set and what makes him tick. Rick is about as complex an individual as making spaghetti is to Rachel Ray.
Gotta get ya some Stick Lovin’.
Tune in Friday for your hair fix RAlonzo.
Todd – you’re my official PR guy! hahahah! And nice slam or Rachel Ray!
Is Winchester the Lost Statue. He is isn’t he. Spoiler
