Good morning!!
I hope everyone had an awesome weekend! If you missed yesterday’s strip, please check it out – I got a lot of positive feedback and I’d hate to think that the one or two times I’m able to crank out a funny strip everyone missed it!!
Anyway, I had a long road trip to West Palm Beach this weekend… by myself… in the car for over seven hours and I was able to piece together the storyline for the next three weeks. I’ll give you a hint – it’s more about Milton. And a girl. And Rick has to get involved. And it becomes a mess. It’s a shorter story arc than we’ve been rolling with and I am trying to make the daily comics more “stand-alone-ish” which means you don’t need to be involved in the entire story to get the joke. Kind of like yesterday’s comic and hopefully today’s provides some lols as well.
That all being said, October will bring a little bigger storyline as it revolves all around the next holiday. If you thought the GREAT PUMPKIN storyline from Peanuts was good, then I’m hoping this will blow the doors off of your mind! Okay, it’s not that big, but I think it’s a great little story. Here are some hints (and in no particular order): Rick, halloween, potato, chocolate, Mayor, kids. Got it? Good.
Finally I’m going to run a contest for the rest of the month to name Rick’s town. I’m going to ask for submissions up until Friday, September 18th and then I’ll have a poll to vote on them for two weeks finishing up on Friday, October 2nd. Do you have any ideas? I’m limiting submissions to a maximum of three per person. What’s the prize? Well, unfortunately it’s not much, just this original sketch, signed, sealed and delivered. After all, you’re just naming the most important town in all of Rick’s world!
WIN this original sketch for the mere pittance of naming Rick's hometown – signed, sealed and delivered. (Actual seals will sign and deliver this sketch)
Thanks for dropping by!
Ken

Rick the Stick is a webcomic – true that.I hope
Well if he wasn’t such a cry baby like last strip they could put a sticker on his EYE I mean its big enough
Cry baby? That stings!! I think his eyes were welling up because he was so excited for football!
Love the title of today’s strip, great stuff. Good to see Rick back in the Tator Suit again. Love the sketch.
Name for Rick’s hometown, hmmm…got to think on that one a bit. Let’s see what’s going on and see if we can come up with a name that brings some of the elements together. Place Stickmen are drawn to, nice hangout for Cavemen Assassins, and theirs possibly a crime syndicate looming in the shadows. They have a local University with a team name of the Taters.
Possible Names for Rick’s hometown: Spudsville, New Haven, New Gainseville (nudge, nudge, wink, wink), Cave City
These are mine for today, each day I’ll try to come up with 4 more.
Thanks for noticing the title! Remember, maximum of three submissions per person – so save your three best!
Cool! Halloween storyline, can’t wait!
