Good morning,
Okay so can someone please let me know where I misplaced the weekend? I know it was around here somewhere and now I look around and it’s gone. I don’t know where it went or where I left it last, I just would like to get it back. Whew.
Enough whining… The site looks, well – generic. The good news is it will be loaded with goodies very soon – and an improved design. So there you have it. And that brings me to something I wanted to mention. I’m focusing on the content of each strip more these day – in particular the writing and character development. I think it’s important – and I definitely want the strip to be funny!
That being said – I originally slated this week’s comics to be minimalistic in terms of text and mostly visual to bring in various storylines over the last couple of months. I say originally, because after sketching them out (and consulting with a friend) there wasn’t enough to them to bring it home. So I worked on them a lot over the weekend and let’s just say I’m really hoping all that work pays off.
I just had an idea as I was about to post this comic – since I don’t recall doing this before, I’m including the original sketch with the text that was going to run. Hope you like the progression and hopefully I improved it!!! Post your thoughts below!!

Like the feel of the new site. Now comes the question of who’s the phantom that appears when I float over the comic panels? More mystery to unravel me thinks. Really like panel 3 with the fast head turning, greatly drawn.
Not sure what to think of where Rick is right now. Could the smoke inhalation be causing this dream, has the fire department not shown up yet and Rick still needs to be rescued? Is this a dream within’ a dream and Rick is still asleep from his head injury? Talk about feeling like your floating on a cloud, that’s some nice pillow top bedding to float like that.
Ok I’m seriously concerned with Ricks (and drabs
)well being. I mean what if he hasn’t really woken up from the drug Milton gave him and the storyline we thought was a dream is in fact not a dream but the reality. Is it the construct or the Matrix AGGGGGGGGGGhhhhh
Todd: The Phantom is a little guy called Anomaly that one of the developers created based on a strip he does. I’m trying to think of whether or not I should have Rick when you mouse over or a character not currently in the strip or a character that looks like me (obviously trying to match my good looks and boyish charm will be a challenge

Raul: What if WE are the one’s in a dream and we’re all dreaming this?
Ah… Rick was an accidental pyro only in his dream! But he *can* still fly… I was waiting to see him fly again just to be sure he really can.
I like the idea of adding Rick or Ken instead of the Anomaly character as a hover-mascot! Anomaly is a good looking character, but a character hovering over Rick the Stick w/eyes in a death cloak super ominous… like a hint that someone *cough*Winchester*cough* isn’t doing so well.
