Tada! Rick the Stick is back in Black…and White! Thanks for the handful of people who voted. So yesterday’s whine-fest lost us a reader. Oh well. And then there were four or five.
The color may be gone, but the storyline remains. I got four sketches done today at lunch, so I guess I’m feeling energized. That’s the last time I vent about that stuff on the blog – so we don’t lose more readers!
But I digress…
None of that is REALLY matters compared to the fact that today is an important day. An EXTREMELY important day. Today is my wife’s birthday. I am extremely fortunate to know such an incredible person, let alone get to shack up with her! I am also extremely lucky to have someone who is a rock when I need it and an incredible mother to my six month old son. Without my wife, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do and I probably would have given up on the strip this weekend (although I think secretly she wishes I would
.
I call her my wife (actually, I call her by her name), but she’s more than that. She’s my best friend, my drinking partner and she’s my family. She loves me despite all my faults and occasionally thinks I’m funny and/or charming. She also NEVER lets me out of the house wearing something I shouldn’t. Without her, I’d probably dress like Waldo. Little known secret – she’s beaten me both times we played Wii Boxing. But I got the last laugh as her muscles were sore for days after. She’s smart, beautiful and sexy. She has a great smile, an infectious laugh and can’t carry a tune. She has fantastic red hair, incredible blue eyes and the most adorable freckles. Every part of her is sensationally endearing to me. In case you can’t tell, I love her very much. On February second, we will have been married for seven years, but we’ve together almost fifteen. I wish I could spend fifteen hundred with her. She makes me want to be a better person, man, father and husband. She also occasionally reads the strip and I’m hoping she does today
Thank you for everything sweetie!
In case you’re wondering, I didn’t do anything wrong – that I know of. Now back to your regularly scheduled mediocrity.
