Howdy! It’s Humpday and well, it’s been a strange week. Way behind on the comic, but luckily I was with it last week and had done some prep for this week so it’s not a total loss.
I’d like to share some numbers with you. 58.3, 140, 16.65, 160, 258, 900, 600 and 11. What do they mean? Glad you asked – my locker combination from high school! Actually, they’re numbers I work with every time I do a comic.
- 58.3 is the size I need to reduce the comic to when I import it into InDesign.
- 140 is the size I need to enlarge the template I use to print to legal size for sketching out the comic.
- 16.65 is the size i reduce the scan down to when I import it into Illustrator.
- 160 is – well I just forgot what 160 is for and my brain is on melt-down mode – but trust me – it’s important.
- 258 is the number of comics now posted on the site.
- 900 is the pixel width of the comic.
- 600 is the pixel width of the comic on GoComics.com’s ComicsSherpa site.
- 11 is the number of characters in the strip. Rick, Milton, Marvin and Mindy (the Manners), Joy Phull, Winchester Havercamp, Dan the Stickman, Nat Tourney, Coach Kraper, Coach’s manager (never got a name), and now Garth Vader
The only number you need to know right now is 1. One comic every weekday morning in your email. Easy: click the link. Verify your subscription when you get the email. Free: Ad, Spam and now Fat FREE (same great taste). Get on it! CLICK HERE NOW and fill in your email address!!! And thank you!
Good night Mars Hill, Alabama
