Good morning!
Coming next month: some hidden and not so hidden “homages” to other comic strips that have influenced me. Within character designs or just things in particular. Like Winchester’s stripe – not the best visual there, but it’s obviously an homage to Charlie Brown. I’m going to try a new schedule after my week break. It may look something like this or nothing like this, but this is what I have in my head right now:
Monday: Crappy movie reviews. Both the movie and the review guaranteed to be crappy.
Tuesday: Sketch day. Showing off some pencil sketches which look waaaaay better than the strip… ![]()
Wednesday: Humpday Homage – I’ll reveal things I ripped off, stole and copied from other comics.
Thursday: Fan Art Thursday. I’ll be taking characters from various comic strips and drawing them in my style. Totally stolen from Drunken Fools version of Rick the Stick
Friday: Coming up… Giving you a heads up as to what’s coming up in the next week.
Thanks for dropping by!
Ken

Rick the Stick is a webcomic – true that.

Milton’s Rick-dar (radar that indicates Rick’s meddling in things) is going berserk. Come on Lana, read some more questions, we’re all dying to know them. I think the Rick Avatar might be right about Milton messing this up, his overly correction about the single thing definitely sent up a red flag. Way to go Milton.
If Lana doesn’t get to the questions you might make a list of them and add them to the blog post like you do the sketches just so we can see what Rick’s reporting skills led him to come up with.
Good idea – or maybe your imagination is better than what Rick might actually come up with!!!
And so continues the slow demise of Milton and Lana’s relationship. Where once there was hope now there is just RICK. next she’ll ask boxers or briefs. But notice how Lana stopped when he answered the single part HMMMMMMM.
Good catch Raul!!
Nice new schedule! I should organize mine a little better like this, rather than the current “wing it with whatever I happen to think is neat that day.” I like the idea of somebody saying “Oh, it’s “[Insert Idea] Day Monday at EQComics!”
I noticed the drop-down on the “New Readers” tab- nice work!
Thanks Dan! Now I just need to work on those character pages!
