Good morning!!!
Hey kids! Hope you had a great weekend – I wasn’t sick, got my lawn in tip top shape, did some home improvements, saw ‘Cats’, watched ‘Twighlight’ for the first time and got some comicking and freelance work done. Plus we went to a great kiddie pool in the area among other stuff… Busy and productive – WOOOHOOO! So the good news is I may have some freelance work coming my way – I did some proposals over the weekend and hopefully it leads to some cha-ching. The bad news about that is that it will be pretty intense for a little while as I’ll need to be cranking on all cylinders to make sure I don’t miss any comics. That also means my comments here will be next to nil. I know my dazzling personality keeps you riveted every day, but I think you’ll survive! ;-P
Most of the money I make will go to stuff for the pending ‘RocketChild’, but I think I’m going to keep some of it for an iPad for my wife and I. Speaking of iPads – I may have some great news regarding that coming up shortly. Hopefully you can tell, I’m not sitting on my duff – I’m making a serious run at keeping RTS going for a long time. I know Todd has my back, but if you have a friend, neighbor or relative who you think would get a kick out of the comic – please pass it along. Email a link or just physically go over to their house and dial it up on the interwebs for them!!
While I loved the idea behind today’s comic, I think the execution just wasn’t there. The closeups in the middle two frames are driving me crazy. I actually drew them live at Tampa’s Comic Book & Toy Convention last weekend. The rest of the week actually features some artwork I’m pretty proud of – nothing crazy, just some decent consistency and character execution. Stay tuned!
Anywho – have a great week. I’ll keep you posted shortly when I have news – I hope!

First of all; congratulations on; well, EVERYTHING; but especially the success on your proposals and the pending ‘RocketChild! You? Are have been a busy man! You must be as exhausted as I!
Whew! Is there an icon for tired? I need it, also!
Secondly? So. Rick sees dead people, too; Huh? He and I REALLY need to talk. WE can network! Once of my friends since age four goes around telling everyone “This is my friend, she’s blah, blah, blah and she sees dead people!”
Not only about that? But how about the fact he has his “stick”-y fingers in her popcorn. That and the fact that he can’t wear trunks; but he can wear blowup floaties on his spindly limbs. In a Kiddie pool!
Definitely keep us posted and congratulations again!

Gheesh Lana, what did you think you’d get with Milton, Rick’s part of the package.
Welcome back Lana, we’ll see how long until there’s another public yelling match with you berating Rick, he tends to bring that out in you.
Ah, look at how cute our little Milton is, he bought a drink with two straws, at least we didn’t see Rick stealing a sip from one of them as well.
I think the strip was executed nicely, the middle two panels are great with Rick walking his fingers around Lana to get to the buttery goodness…you did good.
Wow, you had a busy weekend it sounds like, and a busy schedule ahead of ya. I wish you luck with the freelance work, whomever it is they are lucky to have ya. I was looking at your weekend wrap up and saw…”watched “Cats” and “Twilight”….” and all I could think of was, “Someone’s gotta get that dude a shot of testosterone.” Thought about running an ad in the Tampa News Journal to have some dudes kidnap you and take you to watch back to back showings of the Expendables.
Wife’s been at me to watch Twillight, just can’t bring myself to it.
It no one is around but Rick you are practically alone.
