Good morning!
Today is Rick’s Director of Social Media Todd McElmurry’s birthday and we would like to extend him a big birthday thank you from all of us here at Rick the Stick. If you’re not aware, Todd’s been tirelessly tweeting and posting the comic on Reddit and Stumble Upon. He’s also commented pretty much every day for at least two years now. That’s a lot of love for Rick! And it may seem a bit overboard, but as a token of appreciation, we’ll be commemorating Todd as an official recurring character in the strip. Deputy McTrust will be Super Stickman’s sidekick. He has the letters CXL on his chest – the meaning of which is yet to be revealed!!
Anyway – thanks for all the support and Happy Birthday!!

Appropriately, today’s strip introduces the new coach (Todd recently became a new soccer coach, but somehow I think their styles are different) and he’s determined to get the Taters their first win in over 5 years – and he’ll use extreme methods to do it…

Yeah I think my coaching skills are gonna be a little bit different, I’ll be coaching the Under 6 kiddo’s so fear of death may not be a great motivator in that case. I’ll just promise them that their parents will buy them ice cream afterwards for every goal they get.
