Bathroom Stalled

Good Friday morning!
Some of you might recognize this kind of scene from the cover of the book ‘Rick the Stick Volume 1 – Flushtered’ – well apparently Rick hasn’t learned his lesson about the foibles of the stickman friendless toilet seat. I actually hadn’t run a comic depicting that scene which I originally ran in college (back in the day) under the title ‘Problems Rick the Stick faced with bathrooms’. But hey – it’s most likely new to you!
Have a great weekend!!
Thanks for dropping by!
Ken
I think is the fear women have, and why they berate us to put the toilet seat back down.
Rick, you may need to keep you a training seat, it may be a bit more stickman friendly for ya, you just don’t have the girth to sit on an regular seat. Or you may try a hoist type system that you can mount across the top of the stall and tie to yourself, so if you were to get pulled in the force would cause it to automatically pull you back up.
I remember when my oldest boy was first getting potty trained (he’s only 4 so it wasn’t that long ago), he loved the automatic toilets, but asked me one time if they would pull him down into the sewer. He would always set them off, cause you know how fidgety little ones can be, he’d start by sitting up (sensor reads the top of his head), then he’d either bend over or lean far to one side and *WHOOOSH!!!* The first couple of times he jumped and it took a while to get him back on board.
Great stuff Todd! My mom actually sat through an open toilet in the middle of the night once and she was not happy about it. Needless to say, it never happened again! Most likely from her checking, but I know I always have put the seat down since!!!
Rick – stay . . . very . . . still . . .
Good advice!!
If he was in Super Stick mode that would have been like super kryptonite to him
Whoa – good point! Which is a rare case it’s good he wasn’t Super!!
I hate when you are constipated on a automatic flush toilet and you are leaning over and the darn thing flushes.
The worst is the water splashing on you! GROOOOOSSSS!!!
something you never think about when you’re not a stickman. How insensitive of us!
Of course Rick would agree with you 100% – and add that the world needs to be more (like Todd mentioned) stickman-friendly!
If we don’t raise the lid we get in trouble. If we leave it up we get in trouble. It looks like we get in trouble no matter what.
It’s a lose-lose situation – although if you fell in yourself, it would be a lose-lose-lose kinda thing.
Ken, love that you’re coloring the strip now! I think it adds a really nice polish to RTS. You’ve always had a really slick website, and now the strip is just as slick. Good call, keep it up. (Color is free on the web…so take advantage where you can.)
Thanks for the comment Tyler! Funny, I’m working on next week’s strips and based on feedback on both the site and personally, it’s been suggested that I mix in color rather than run it full time.
I don’t know if that suggests my coloring needs work or not!
Thanks again!!
